Viking Chemicals Inc. was founded in 1974 by Vera Hodges and Ellwood Hodges. The husband and wife team worked together for a number of years until Ellwood's health failed. Vera assumed all of the responsibilities of the business in the mid 1980's. Approximately in 1990, Vera's daughter Shannon started working full-time. Both Vera and Shannon continue to work full-time today.

Viking today is much like the company that was founded 30 years ago. Viking is a complete janitorial supply distributor that provides commercial accounts in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area with their cleaning supply needs. Viking has a well-stocked warehouse to deliver over 2000 different items to end-users all over this metro area.
